Default Upgrade Front Sway bar?

Hey guys,
I just finished re-doing most of the suspension in my 87S. In the front I installed Koni adjustables with 968 springs and still have the stock sway bar (22mm). In the rear- bilstein HD's (will be changing to sport's) and upgraded to an 18mm sway bar. Current tires are 215's on the 15in phonies, but the turbo phonies are going on in the spring with 225f/245r tires. Should I get a beefier front sway bar maybe a 27mm? I'm afraid to get too much understeer with a 30mm. The car is pretty neutral right now, but at high speeds it feels as if the front could use a little more stiffness. What do you think?

Go drive the car first for a while then decide if you want to front bar. Its not like the front bar is terribly hard on these cars. There is no sense in throwing money at a problem until you knwo there is in fact a problem.

Stick with the 27mm/18mm set up. Mucho Bettero than the stock set up, and I have had no issues with my Bilstien HD's. Drives great and is predictible enough for the street, and some light track days. I use the staggered 245/45/16 rear and 225/50/16 fronts and the balance feels great.

I did a $hit ton of research before chosing my bar combinations, and the only thing I have not done yet is up the t-bars to a bigger size. Unless your car is living it's life soley on the the track, having the $700 set of Weltm. sways on it will not make much diff to ya. I do plan on using the Bilstein Firehawk set-up down the road, but this set up works for now.

As stated above. Drive it with the combo I mentioned for a while, THEN see how it feels. If you realy want to increase the way the car feels and the amound of feedback you get from the road..... get a manual steering rack. It's night and day!

on monday i installed a 25.5 bar on the front of my 944 and still have the 14mm rear bar...

i took a right turn at 45 or 50 and didnt hear so much as a squeal from the tires or anything. just zipped right around the corner under power in 2nd.

can only imagine what bigger ones would do.

The thing is, it seems like a wierd combination now with the stock front (22mm) and larger rear bar and the shock/strut/spring upgrades. But it handles like a beast, I took a ***** to the wall turn the other day at 93mph (... in a closed course) and the car just stuck. It seems like I'm obligated to upgrade though.

Oh yeah, if anyone wants the stock 14mm rear bar PM me with an offer. Have pics.
