if you buy a time sert kit for the size of the drain plug i.e. m12x1.25 (not the actual size) it will have the proper size drill bit, counter sink burr, tap, and the insert installation tool. If you have it repaired at the same time as an oil change, then it should be no more then an 1/2 to 1 hour additional labor. Depending on the shop of course. You can also buy the kit from wurth, and do it your self. It is not difficult, just take your time and go slow, use a shop vac while drilling and countersinking, and while tapping load the tap up bearing grease and go slow, so the bearing grease catches all the aluminmum shavings. This is by far the best repair short of replacing the oil pan.
Good luck.

I am using one of the valves and have no problems. The lever is very stiff and doesn't leak or open easily. You must have the intention of opening it to get it open. The lever is closer to the pan than it appears. It also helps with draining hot oil. No scolding your arms and hands. It sticks less than an 10mm farther then your stock one. Mine has the magnet on it also.
