Default 944 m030 lowered- before and after

Note two things: before pics are on bf goodrich gforce r1s, 16x7/8" phonies. 225/50 (I think?) and 245/45. Afters are on 15x7" phonies, 215/60 street tires. Same late offset on all. I'm happy with the front, which previously had a massive "uncool gap." There wasn't much rear eccentric adjustment, though, so the back is more raked than I would like. Spare is in it, almost empty on gas, and my speaker/amp is not in it. It might ride level with the amp.
The springs feel much stiffer in front. Car is definitely much more stable on large sweeping turns, but I don't know how it will do for autox.
Also, camber is maxed out at 2.6* front, 1.7* rear.

Cool,
Still too high though.
This using 225/50 R15's so they are 1" shorter than stock.

I miss having 225/50 tires on my 944. I'll never do 215/60s again after this time.

Okay, re-do. Got the 25.5 tbars put in and re-indexed. m030 struts up front dropped all the way. I need to keep checking up on the ball joints to make sure they're okay.

This is with the 16" phonies and race tires (man the car looks so much better on the 16s).

And here's a picture of it on the (horrendous) street tires. 215/60 is like driving on balloons. The race tires are so much stiffer!

eh it was one of those dumb monkeys over in Cary. Couldn't tell a torsion bar from his right arm, I tell you.

I was actually able to go to an event on Sunday, although I was supposed to have a Navy thing going on that was going to keep me from doing it. In typical NROTC fashion, it was changed at the last minute. I might be going to Winston Salem in a couple weeks, though.

Oh yeah and for what it's worth, I am really missing that rear toe in I used to have. Sucker is a handful right now, but I'm thinking some increased rear rebound dampening will keep that back end planted. I need to post some vid...

It's cool to see another 944 out there running ES. The miatas are used to having the class to themselves and it sure is fun to school them.

I don't worry about the miatas anymore unless it's a really tight course. We run mainly on airstrips and they can't compete with the 2.7L power. It's the mr2's that I worry about. When I ran DS at an SCCA national tour event, I was blown away at how well the mr2s did.

Yeah I got it lowered more (thanks Mark) after I got ahold of the right torsion bars, and now you can't put anything in there. See that last pic from the autocross- can you see between the tire and fender?
