New Haven, CT...
In feb. I'll be driving my 944 across country from San Francisco to Albany, NY to visit my family for a month or so, then by March I'll be stationed in New Haven, CT.. anyone from around this area? It'd be nice to get into the 944 community around there. I can always help, and of course always needed.
and off the topic.. any tips on routes x-country? I'v already gotton a few, i think I'm going to avoid the 80 because of the time of year. I'll probably go down south a bit and head up at an angle, hitting desert instead of the rockies. I'll be giving my car a tune up and check all the fluids once again right b-4 i leave. But an old porsche mechanic took a look at everything and said I should be good to drive there and back

You sure it's New Haven? There are CG installations (and the service academy) in New London, ~40 miles up the coast. Didn't even think there was one in New Haven, never down there though.
95 in Connecticut is, to censor myself, a clusterfk. Heavily policed, much traffic, interchanges everywhere. You'll have to find that out either way.

+ 1 on the poor road that is I95
95 is a terrible road although there are some good stretches of road between New Haven and New London. I too am looking to get involved in the local 944 community, meeting up with Mike C. this Sunday actually. Anyway enjoy the east coast.
