Somebody got a 951for a steal, anyone here

Yup - I was hoping to fix a few things on it and then put it back up for sale....This car was so bad though it is barely worth parting and that would be possible only if someone picked it up a lot cheaper than I was about to.

Damn, at least you got your money back Josh...guess this is a nice lesson in not trusting ebay pictures to buy a car sight unseen. but I bought mine unseen off of ebay and I got many many nice suprises
I can understand people thinking a 2,500$ 951 is a basketcase .. but there are always exceptions to the rule.
Spideyslave has 3,200 into his 951.. so do I
So far I have:
rebuilt engine
new clutch/master/slave
new venturi/vac lines
T04B/ MAF/2.5" exhaust
9/10 interior (with 93 911 heated comfort seats)
2 sets of wheels with fairly new tires (16" / 18")
Koni yellows w/ front coilovers
and no leaks
so for anyone looking to get into a 951 as cheap as possible..buy one with a blown engine and already modded. go from there

I learned that lesson a few years ago. If it seems like a killer deal, realize somebody local to it would have snatched it up. I flew to Dallas for a "mechanically excellent" 951 that was anything but. When it became clear I wasn't buying, the seller confessed he'd shown it to several prospective buyers and nobody wanted it.
