Hmm - hardly. I was meaning to post the story here but hadn't gotten a chance yet.
Won the car on Friday Nov 16th in the morning and immediately paid the $500 down payment. I was planning on flying to Tampa to pick up the car. After talking to "Mike" the seller later on that day he said he could arrange to have the car brought up to Tallahassee (5 to 6 hour drive from Atlanta) and I could pick it up there. He assured me the car was solid and I could easily drive it back home. Albert and I drove down on Sunday the 18th to bring the car back. We got there at 2. It was in a pretty seedy part of town with the prison next door and the work program center.
Mike shows up with the car on a flat bed a half hour late. Proceeds to let me know that the car will not start. He had been trying to get a radio installed so that I would have some tunes driving home. On top of that on the tow up from Tampa the car was improperly secured and the power steering pump mount was broken, sway bar was pulled out and the sunroof had blown out and been lost. The replacement sunroof he had found didn’t match in color and was pretty beat up around the edges.
Frankly that was the least of the problems with the car. If it had ever been running there would have been no good reason why
1) wires running in and out of fuse box
2) ref sensors harnesses cut and hardwired
3) hole in spark plug cap on cam
4) rats nest under dash
5) cam tower painted gold/intake painted silver/everything else including fuel lines painted black and we are talking rattle can here in the dark on a wet day....
6) whole car was painted by the same expert painter at the same time with some burgundy paint including portions of engine bay
7) Must've run out of battery cable - looked to be a couple different wires hacked together
8)Underbody side skirts distorted beyond recognition and rocker deformed from multiple experiences of improper jacking I guess.
9) Passenger fog light broken
10) dash trim missing and broken in many spots.
11) Seats in very poor shape
12) wrong offset wheels/no center caps
13) Weird aftermarket exhaust with no head shield....
14) Options sticker completely missing in the rear – not even any glue residue
Sounds like I might be nit picking some things but keep in mind that this was what I could quickly observe in 10 minutes time. Who knows what the clutch/trans/brakes and rotors/belts/water pump/cylinders/control arms/tie rod ends/cv axles looked like. The car was in the worst condition I have ever seen a car in including the parts cars I've had before.
Mike was apologetic about the car not starting but it was probably for the best as I don't think I would have made it far. I let him know that I wanted to unwind the deal and Albert and I dejectedly headed home. Mike promised to refund my Paypal payment that same evening.
Needless to say he did not. Monday morning I filed a PayPal claim and immediately escalated it to Paypal's attention. It wasn’t until late on Tuesday that Mike finally released my money back to me - had me pretty worried. He should have sent me $40 for the tank of gas and some more for the 12 hours in the car.
Moral of the story is ..... Don't buy that car for anything more than about $1250 if that. Don't buy a car off eBay with crappy pictures. Don’t buy a car from Mike if you can help it. Don't assume it can't be that bad because it can
I suppose I should leave him negative feedback – even if he retaliates I can afford the hit a lot better than he can.

There is a difference between buying a decent 951 for $2500 and a basketcase for that much. Most of the time a $2500 951 is really a $7500 951 once everything is really sorted out, unless one doesn't mind driving total crapola.
