Default Painting wheels - advice please

I'm getting a set of phone dials that I plan for winter tires. I'd like to slightly enhanced the look as they are not new wheels. I'd like to paint them, but without using too much resources. I need to mount them as soon as possible.
Is there a way to just spray them, probably after light polishing with 600 grit paper. Is there a factory silver paint available from a local store? The primer is probably necessary, although most cans say no need for primer?
Recommendations for the brand and exact-match color? I want to stay with the factory color, so that if they scratch the surface during mounting I can respray it without removing tires. If not this, and if I had time, I would have probably chosen dark graphite.
I looked at the beautiful pictures previously posted, but I won't be able to do such a great job now. Advise please.

the original paint makes the best primer for a respray. No need to strip them down and then apply an etch primer to assure proper adhesion. take them and wetsand them w/ some 500grit wet/dry paper and water. Spray and enjoy.
