944s2nut installed a double din 7" touchscreen in his s2 . looked awesome (and stock)

I've seen carputer setups that are fairly cheap ... seems like you can run XP , internet, navigation etc

Hm, I was thinking about getting one of those single-din units with a pop-out LCD, but thinking about it I would probably crash if I took the time to look at it... A windshield mounted thing would probably be a better idea.

That double-din set-up looks really nice though... I wonder if it's a pain to install.

go to amazon.com and punch in the nuvi. there is an accessory for it that is awesome. it is a beanbag type base with a mount for the nuvi. it sits on the dash, and sat on the dash of my S2 (so it may not fit a 951 if it fit my S2 ) you just put the unit on the dash, then put it on the floor. no marks on windshield, etc.

it works great in the rendezvous too. just put it under the seat for days. not a single mark on the windshield.

Default Kenwood KNA-G510

I went with the Kenwood KNA-G510. It's a Garwin device and connects to a Kenwood in dash DVD receiver with a 7inch screen.

Some states do not allow GPS devices on the windshield.

SOmeone here mounted a carputer in the dash and did a nice custom job. Do a search - it's worth a look.
