The lacquer thinner is working out pretty well. Came of the hood except for some tiny overspray dots. Wish I hadn't left it on their for a month, though.

Go get a clay bar. I ran over freshly painted urethane road centerlines. I took it to a detailer. Laquer thinner didn't work. They told me I was screwed. I spent 8 hours a day over a weekend scrubbing that paint off. It sucked, but it worked. Less than 3 months later it happened again. They paint the road & leave no caution signs out or any warnings. At least that time it was only on one side & not on both sides & the rear. It really works, but it is very time consuming removing hundreds of dots of paint. Overspray came off of another car in a matter of minutes. It just depends on how tough the paint is.
