Default A watched leak never drips....

I have an oil leak somewhere in the vicinity of the lower passenger side of the motor, around the oil filter / pressuer sender area. It is quite annoying.

I put her up on jack stands and pulled the tire and the power steering pump, cleaned everything off with brake cleaner and started the engine. After a solid 30 minutes of sitting there idling... NO LEAK

The oil pressure stayed right at 4 bar for the beginning and slowly went down to 3.5 bar. I then tried multiple revving of the engine AND still nothing.

SO does the oil pressure change in some UN-indicated way when the engine is under load?

Anyone got any suggestions?

I hates me some oil leaks...

Something we do in the shop is clean it off real well, take it for a hot lap around the block. And look again you should be able to locate it.

That is "prolly" what I am going to have to do. I was hoping to get it located with only one jacking episode.

mine had a leak starting from the front of the cambox- which dribbled behind the belt covers, down the front and then onto the oil filter housing- i chased a leak w/ the housing for a year before realizing the cambox was the culprit.

my boss taught me a trick the other day, clean like you said, then sprinkle baby powder on the engine parts, itll show the leak by getting wet, and easier to see than just metal and gasket spaces.
