Default California Non-low-voc brake cleaner

I've just learned that California outlawed the sale of "normal" brake cleaner a few years back. Only low-VOC brake cleaner is sold in stores now -- which leaves a slight residue. I've been looking for anyone that has the normal stuff available, but to no avail. Has anyone else run across this -- any way to get "real" brake cleaner in CA?

I just saw that the other day also.

I've heard of people using carb cleaner if no brake cleaner was around. I've never done it though. And I'm no expert on if it's safe. But if it is, maybe it's an option?

Hmmm...while reading most of the labels on my toxic stockpile, it seems they all contain chemicals known to cause cancer in the state of California.

It's a damn good thing they don't cause cancer in Arizona!

The majority of the apartment complexes around my area contain chemicals known to cause cancer in the state of CA.
