Default Carrera Coil-Overs.....Question

Friend of mine has two sets of Carrera coil overs he is selling.

What are these worth if anything? If I were to use these on my 944S to drop the torsion bars, what size spring would I want?

This will be a street car that might see very limited, not very serious track use.

My 944S already has turbo brakes, and the paragon coil-over kit up front.

Are these the same ones Huntley Racing used to sell?? Value, dunno.

By size do you mean spring rate? Or spring dia and length? If you ment rate, depends on what you are running up front and how you want the car to behave. I chose my spring rates so that the rear wheel rate would be a bit higher than the front.

I can only assume these are from Huntley (I am nervous using anything from huntley...) Reason why I'm looking for info.

Yes - spring rate. With the paragon coil-over kit up front I'm running 250lb springs (I think). This car hasn't been on the road for a while so my memory is fuzzy.

I think the coil overs are decent but not spectacular if I remember correctly.

It's one of those things, they are brand new in the box and I'll end up with them at a good price. So if they are at least "as good" as the stock setup - it works for me.

Why install them? Easier to adjust down the road if I decide to auto-x the car or track it.

Anyone have any idea what they were new? I want a good deal but I want to offer something fair. He cannot remember.

Carrera coil overs for the rear? The upper mounting is completely different. How would that work? I have never heard of this.

It's a standard carrera shock with a coil over adaptor fitted to it.

Just like what Paragon sells with the koni shock.
