definitly include the differences between good and better materials such as OMNI and chromaclear etc... difference between laquer primer and Eurethane, difference between Acrylic Enamel and Eurethane paints - i worked at a body shop and at a paint store for awhile and you'd be amazed what people think is the best thing out there.
And deal with environmentally friendly stuff (like water-based) for those of us without a booth available. For $40 I'd give it a go.
Steve
Waterborne products are not particularly suitable for diy, they need special equipment to aid in drying. Also, the clears will be solventborne regardless of basecoat so its kind of a moot point. In some areas only w.b. is available so I will look into it for sure. I appreciate your concern for safety and reasonable precautions will be explained, however they are the choice/responsibility of the person doing the work. I will also address alternatives for those without access to a booth. I've done more then a few show quality jobs in an old one car garage. Its a pita but definitely possible. Aside from controlling the application environment and containing fumes and overspray, the primary reason to have a booth is to aid in production. For the hobbyist/one time painter this isn't such a concern.
Once again, thanks everyone for your input. As a professional I don't always see things from the hobbyist's perspective.
Its under consideration as I am new to the production side of this project. My concern is that it will be easier for people to duplicate for friends. Then again some people would probably do that w/ a dvd as well. Thanks.

What are you talking about i NEED to make myself a "Back-Up" duh. Yeah you would need to pay attention to those. I myself make "Back-ups" of DVDs all i can say is to protect your self without getting to costly you would need to make the DVD copy protected its pretty easy to do i have done it a few times.
If isn't, I won't sell it. There's enough misinformation about the subject out there already. I have no desire to add to it. Obviously there is more than one way to skin a cat, but there is a correct way to repair and refinish a car. Showing the way we do it for our customers will save hobbyists a fair amount of grief. Most of what I hear and see in this hobby is second or third hand info. By the time its passed along that far, a good portion of whats important is tweaked or lost altogether. Some people in my industry would prefer not to share but I don't see hobbyists as a threat. In fact, most people that would buy this video probably would'n spend the kind of money I charge anyway.
