Ed- I would never post or talk about it on the Corvette forum. And I agree with Brian, I don't see resentment at all. To the contrary, the guys here are very open-minded and incredibly helpful. Truth be told, before I drove an LS swap, i thought the idea was let's say, unorthodox. It's a damn GM motor in a Porsche for cryin' out loud!
I drove an LT and it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Then I drove Mike Gokey's 924S LS1, and the rest is history. The LS1 eliminated all of my preconceived notions as to what a V8 is supposed to be. I couldn't believe how free-revving it was, nor how hard it pulled up top.
I'll tell you though, what the guys are doing with the 951 motor is just amazing.
dvc- no need to run again, you'd probably post the vid on the vette forum or something now wait till i dx this 5.7l for a cammed ls2...then its on... i detect a hint of resentment from some of your forum mates...or it might be humor,tought to tell. later-ed
