Default headlight switch smoking!

i wired my license plate bulbs in and now the headlight switch smokes! im not happy bout that

new or old dash? CHECK all the wiring loom in the interior for insulation degredation- especially under the dash.

Also, are you using upgraded bulbs in the headlights? If you are, are you using a lighting harness?

Scratch the upgraded bulbs...I melted wiring using stock bulbs. The headlight harness is a must-upgrade on these cars.

Mine too Luis. I also had to replace the underdash wiring..

im just using a 2 wire pigtail and an led in the license plate, nuthing major...i guess

fuses still blowing, the switch turns my headlights on so it must work right? only no instrument or license light

If the switch and lights worked fine before you put in the new license plate lights, check the wiring for the new plate lights. There might be a ground or something on the wiring for that.
