how do you find the timing hole in the bellhousing

Default how do you find the timing hole in the bellhousing

I has to be impossible to look in it without pulling the engine. I can see it but i can't see around corners perhaps because its a 924S.

It's a pain in the ***, but if you get up from the driver's side and look down you really can see it through the clutter. Helps to have someone turning and someone looking.

I believe the early 944 is the same. It's there but is difficult to see. Make sure the cam timing mark is visible inside the hole in the front cover and then rotate crank fwd and backward slowly (a helper would be great) and get in there with a good flashlight.

there is also a hole in the bottom of the bellhousing and a notch in the flywheel that lines it up at TDC. Dan.
