Default Leaking Fuel Pump?

So, a few weeks ago I noticed a small fuel leak at the rear of the car.
I pulled off the bottom fuel tank strap and the fuel pump cover.
The leak look like it was coming from the fitting on the exit side of the pump, right at the check valve.
I tried tightening it. No difference.

So, I ordered a new check valve, new soft lines (the looked like they needed replacing anyways), and all new copper crush washers.

I installed all the new lines, and the check valve with new washers.
It still leaks.
I cut back some of the padding around the fuel pump for a closer look.

The fuel pump has a crimped top and It looks as if it's leaking from the crimped area. Is this even possible?

It only leaks when the car is running.

Any one ever heard of this? Do I need a new fuel pump?

Well, I did an even more thorough search (I couldn't find any info the first time I searched) and it looks like it is possible for the fuel pumps to leak at the crimped area.

I guess I have to get a new fuel pump.

Anyone have a spare fuel pump from a 1989 N/A, a 944 S, or a 944 S2 ?

You could try JB WELD. My 968 had the same problem and it has lasted about a year so far.

Hmm, I believe the 968 has the same fuel pump as the S2.
Is it a common problem with 968's?

Thanks, but the turbo has a different fuel pump.

From what I can tell on Paragon/Pelican/944online, the ones that are the same are 1989 n/a, 1987-1989 944 S, 1989-91 S2, and 968.
