Unhappy please help me to improve my suspension

hello,
after i have finished my work on the engine and the rest of the car i am thinking to improve my suspension,i have a 85.5 n/a with a supercharger on..but the problem is that i do not know much about what set ups to make .. i have all the stock on the suspension, front sway bar is 22mm and rear 14mm..i have 18'' wheels -front 225/35 and rear 255/40..i wold like to improve the sway bars ,springs(adjustable coil overs???- what spring rate??) and shocks...but i really do not know what should i put
i do not want the car to be very stiff as the roads in my country aren't so great...the car is a daily drive car,but i race when i have the chance. i have heard from some friends that the koni shocks are too stiff for this roads ..
so please let me know what do u think that would be a good set up..or what would u do??
i was searching on the forum..but i do not know much of the suspension
thank u.

What do you mean by "but I race when I have the chance??" Does the car see the racetrack? How often? What else do you use the car for?

Depending on those answers is where you should go with your suspension...

Regardless of that, upgrading your swaybars would be a good start. The M030 setup is a good one to upgrade to.

On my road car I run 220lb springs up front 1in lower than stock, 90lb coil-over spings in the rear together with the stock torsion bar (again 1in lower ride hieght) , MO30 sway bars all around. Also upgraded to welt front a-arm bushes and 968 c-block to control the front end better.

I have found this to be a good road set-up, but it would need to be much stiffer for track use. You have to decide do you want a good road or track car, they are different animals.

My stock '86 spring rates were 125F (21.8M/mm) 126R (23.5mm)

I now have 220F 216R comprising of:
220lb coil springs @ front; Stock 944 NA torsion bars 126lb (23.5mm) @ rear with 90lb coil overs. MO30 sway bars all around.

IMO I would go with this set-up for road use, anyone else agree?

Koni Yellows all corners
300# Paragon Coilovers
29mm Torsion bars
M030 Sways

Make sure Sways are set on softest adjustment rear unless you are drifting or running a large stagger (205 front 255 rear) etc.. etc...

Koni yellows and 220 lb springs should do the trick for you, and not be so stiff as to be a problem on your Romanian (?) roads.

i have some nasty gabriel on front and on rear i do not know ,i have springs only in front..i do not know the size of my torsion bar...the springs are for sure stock..
i was thinking at koni /bilstein/sachs all around...adjustable coilover (but i do not know what lb? )and 30mmsway bar in front and 19mm in rear..what do u think??

Not to hijack the thread, but I think this will help him also. gina.kane runs coil overs in the back. I have contemplated this set up, but I was wondering if anyone could post a pic of the back with the stock adjustments set to the lowest possible setting. I also have 18"s. The last time I replaced the rears (on my first car), it was too tall. These cars look much better low. My car is low in the back right now because I need new suspension.

Also, dally_de- have you looked into LEDA (http://www.homestead.com/redlinerennsport/LEDA.html) coil overs? I have been contemplating these. Anybody have these that can offer feedback?

Hey, you're preachin' to the choir on that one- but it is getting to the point that I am going to have to do something soon.

I'm in the same boat.
My suspension is very tired, and the car needs lowering badly.

I've been seriously considering the Ground Control coilovers.
They're only $1050 for front coilovers and rear shocks, or $1350 with camber plates.

It's either those or Koni's with coilover sleeves from Paragon.

Very interesting. That would certainly fix my problem.

I'd just put in a Turbo S (M030) suspension and be done with it.
