i've been watching this for a while and under 200$ was what i was thinking would be about right, think about all of the hardtop roofs you can buy for convertible s2000 and the miata. Puts things into perspective. anyways i think the main drawback to this whole project is trying to figure out how to get some latches to work and i think it would be best to figure out how to use the stock sunroof seal

I'm actually working on these right now.
I made the 914 version. Target is $500 per unit. 4 weeks out on the prototype

Those were an acrylic, the 944 version is glass. I am making some improvements to make it my own product. I refer to it as a WAS top (waas is the pronunciation)

In the meantime.. I have a Saratoga roof in GREAT condition for sale with the bag. I just sold my 944 Turbo sans the roof so I could sell it. If you are interested, please send me a pvt message.

Making some progress on these. The rear latching mechanism is solid. I'm in the process of working-out some bugs on the fronts and making some seals that will make it a nice solid unit. I'm currently working in tempered glass (like OEM) as my main business is glass railing (DIYRailing.com) I buy thousands of square ft annually. I can really get the cost down on the non mirrored product (but tinted bronze or smoke gray), enough that these could be in the $350 range. This is the busy season for the railing so I've only been taking small bites of the 911T version. My goal is to have the 944 version complete in 60- 90 days, with the 911T version to be available in Feb of next year. I would like to say sooner, but there are always problems that have to be worked out. The WAS Top was over schedule by 5 months, but is now in production.
