the way it sounds, a switch would mean a dead wiper motor. my case is a very weakend motor that starts to move and stalls 10 up its stroke. if i lift the blade up, the motor is able to take over and pull the rest of the way down. someone said its probably a stripped gear in the wiper motor.

i emailed a guy on craigs who was parting out a 924 about buying the wiper motor.. what would be a fair price for a stray wiper motor

For repair shops i'm a big fan of Gerber's (by Fishermans terminal, talk to Mark), but as with any shop its going to cost $$.

Is there a difference between the 924 and 924S/944 wiper motors? It should be pretty easy to find a good used one from an early 944...

According to Paragon the 924, early 944s and 924S shared the same part. I'd offer $20 maybe.
