Is my muffler backwards
I had a tailpipe welded onto a muffler and I was about to put it on the catback pipe.
I look at it and is says "Inlet" with an arrow below it pointing towards where the tailpipe was welded on.
If the arrow indicates flow direction then it is welded correctly, but if the arrow is actually pointing to the inlet then it's backwards.
Which way is right? It would make sense that the arrow goes in the direction of flow... but it has inlet written above it.
Thanks

If it says inlet and an arrow then it's talking about the inlet. If it was an arrow with nothing else I would assume flow. If it said flow and had an arrow I would say the arrow was the direction of flow. You're assuming the arrow represents flow from other examples. It's the inlet.

It was pretty clear that it was on backwards. I called the dude got an "oops".
Luckily my dad is a welder and he cut it and flipped it for me.
The muffler is just some dumb midas brand ravin shiz. Doesn't sound raspy so I'm fine with it.
