Default aaarrrgghhh odometer AGAIN

My odo stopped working about 6 months ago, so I pulled the speedo off and took it apart. I expected to find the gear destroyed but it actually had just slipped past the point of egagement on the shaft. So, I slid it back (it was pretty hard) and I figured I fixed it. Today on the way to work it stopped working again!! I really don't want to fix it but it will bug the $hit out of me so I will. Is there some kind of permanent fix? Should I try some epoxy on the shaft or what? I will not keep fixing this every 6 months. freakin ridiculous....

i did a write up on this awhile back- how to space the gear w/ an electrical connector end and put some glue under the gear- lookup " early gauge" should find it. It just came up recently.

Someone said you wrap a little wire around the end to keep it from slippoing off. Search for a thread I started on the same topic. I have not tried it yet.

If you got 6 months, you did good!!
