Default Track Alignment Recc. - 944s2

OK Guys. Almost a year ago I asked for advice on a track car for a buddy. You said S2. He now has an S2. I asked about suspension upgrades. You said, 300lb front springs/ 29mm rear bars and adjustable Konis. Now thats what it has.

Now We're putting on a set of 8x16 rims front and rear with Nitto NT01's and I need suggestions on alignment settings. This is a 90% track car. If your suggestion requires camber plates I need to know that too.

Thanks
Jeff

My car is a little further developed than your friends (see sig below) and I'm running Toyo RA-1's which like ALOT of neg camber.

I'm running -2.8 in the front (thinking of going to -3) and -2.5 in the rear. I have camber plates.

Toyo RA-1's don't need a lot of negative camber, what are your tire pressures? remember, the tire is a spring too...

My race car is set-up as follows.

Springs: 350front 30 mm t-bars rear
Shocks: Koni yellow
Bushings: front camberplates with delrin poly bushings / rear poly graphic bushings
Sways: Weltmeister front/rear adjusted to suit balance
Camber: -3.5 front / -2.5 rear
Toe = 0 front / 1/8" toe-in rear (rear tow in is critical as the rear suspension will bow out under brakes and make the car unstable)
Ride height = 4" to rocker level front to rear (note the rake impacts balance)
Tires = 225/50 R15 RA-1's goal 38 psi hot all 4 corners
Wheels = 15x7 cookie cutters
Weight = 2631lbs last time over the scales with me in the car.

im running 2 up front and 1.5 in the rear camber- but my car is primarily street and some track. Ive seen plenty running RA1's w/ 3 front and 2 rear- RA1's like at least 2 degrees front camber according to the manufacturer.

I think this depends on many things. Those of us still running 225's on 15's need quite a bit of camber (I run -3.5F/-2R). With 16's and 245's+ you might well get away with less camber.
