Default fuel pump relay?

Hi

I just came across your forum. Hope you don't mind me posting a question.

I'm having problems starting my S2. Sometimes it starts ok, others it turns over but doesn't fire. I've been told this is likely to be the fuel pump/dme relay. Does this sound right? And does anyone know how I can test this relay myself before I buy a new one?

Thanks

Do a search on dme relay in the topic line. should find the procedure for using a jumper wire. Regardless, they are only 25 bucks or so, should ALWAYS have a spare with you. 90% of us do in our gloveboxes.
