Smile Thanks to all U.S. and Canada 944 owners!

Thanks to the 93,312 Porsche type 944 cars sold in North America, in addition to the 85,778 cars sold in Europe and the rest of the world, there's a pretty strong argument for Porsche to continue supplying genuine parts for our cars for years to come.

Like other enthusiasts, I get some weird looks when ordering parts at the dealer, but it's good to know we're not alone!

I thought they continued parts for a certain amount of time, then quit. They do it based on the number of cars still out there?

My understanding is that a manufacturer must provide parts for 10 years after a model is discontinued (ie GM has to make Oldsmobile parts for 10 years) , but they can provide parts for as long as they would like (assuming there is a market for the parts)

I think Porsche should manufacture another 944... 2+2 seating, front engine, rear drive, balanced hatchback.
Use the lessons learned from the 944's weaknesses.

Style-wise, the cars are still more attractive than 95% of the cars out there.
