Found my culprit..clutch master cylinder
Well after getting the motivation to finally diagnose a problem of intermittent no 1st and 2nd gear, I found it. It looks like my clutch master cylinder decided to finally call it quits. I researched the board and the protocol is to replace the slave, hydraulic line, blue hose and gasket concurrently with the clutch master.
The positive side of this is that I originally thought my clutch was done for and a large service bill was in the horizon. I am glad its only the hydraulics so with parts in hand, my weekend wasn’t complete without spending some quality time with my 951. Keeping with the optimistic viewpoint, my bleeding skill sets has increased tremendously.

Wow it seems like these have been going out on everyones cars lately! I had mine along with the hose done a few months ago. You can find the cylinders for around $80 a piece on pelican and the hose for $35.
I actually posted about this topic earlier today.
+1, your garage is very cool.

Ian did a great job and thanx for the lead. I have been busy this summer and still have to tie up some loose end on the 951 before getting it out on the road. The clutch hydraulics are the only items pending prior to getting it out on the road.
Sharky,
I actually took the advice from Clarks Garage and will be replacing everything including the paper gasket. I agree only do the job once and enjoy.
