As of now, I don't think I can make it. But as we get closer who knows. It would be nice to meet more people. And J Berk, you may want to cross post this in a few other forums too, for sure the 944T. I saw that Damian did one in the 968 section.

My life is knida upside down right now, but if I'm free that weekend I'm going to try and make it. Looks like lots of people I haven't met before.

^^LOL. You make it sound so appealing!
Yes, I'm happy to put a drive route together if no one else wants to. How does a shot up into the mountains of Harriman State Park or Bear Mountain sound? Or perhaps just straight up old Route 17 North through Sloatsburg, etc., up to the Monroe/Sterling Park area?
Any suggestions or particular wants?
(PS, I said it last time, but I can't freaking wait. We ARE going to make it this time, both of us, with both of our cars, even if we have to dump fevered children on an unsuspecting grandpa. )

just be careful with old rt 17 thru sloatsburg...there's that one section where it becomes 'town' that's a speed-trap! We could even stop at the red-apple rest if it's still there!
DAMIAN
other than the fact that they serve hotdogs it's nothing like Rutts!

Oooo, I've never been to the Red Apple Rest, though I've been past it many times. Is it any good, or is it just a greasy spoon?
And yes, we'd have to slow down just a little through the "town" sections of old Route 17. But it's so beautiful up there, it might still be worth it.

I have not been in Red Apple in years....was the place my dad and I used to stop on the way to go fishing at bear mt.....greasey spoon is a good description though...sort of a landmark.
