Buffer/polisher recommendations?

The PC is a nice machine for the weekend warrior but it can't do a great deal of correction. It will remove some light marring, apply waxes and glazes nicely but it bogs down when you apply pressure.
The Cyclo is a bit more aggressive and can take a lot more pressure before it bogs down as it has more torque......but it also costs more but imho it's worth it.
I have 3 Cyclo's and one is at least 10 years old, has hundreds of working hours and still works just fine.
No machine, except a high speed rotary with a wool pad perhaps, will remove paint overspray.....especially a random orbit machine as they just don't have enough pep. Using a clay bar is the easiest option for paint over-spray and it's no hassle at all. You should be able to clay your entire car faster than using a polisher to polish the car.

Another vote for the Porter Cable, easy to use. As a matter of fact, I have a slightly used second one I would be willing to take $70 for if anybody is interested - send me a PM. I also agree the overspray is what the clay is for, start there and plan on going through two pieces or more.
