With 7+ days left, who cares if it's at $4800 now. If this was say an hour left, it might be worth mentioning the price and no reserve.

Look closely. The car has no bids yet. The lister can start the bidding anywhere he likes. Some people start at $1.00 because the fees are less.

I did look closely and I know it's 7 days.

BUT

this one's NR and that means it WILL sell. You don't see that too often. It seems that most reserve auctions don't sell as the price is too high for your typical e-bay vultures. I'd be willing to bet this thing goes for around $7k, especially since it's listed under 911.

I think this auction will go cheaply -- if only because the guy has car listed in the wrong place -- it's listed under 911, rather than 968.

Its not a personal attack but a general statement. I get kinda annoyed when ebay or craigslist postings gets posted like Tifo. I check about 20+ items on ebay and more on craigslist every day. If I post everything I consider to be a good deal for a 944, it will never end. It just seems to me that this "technical discussion" section gets less and less technical all the time.

Example: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/car/424402870.html you can get a good running 86 944 for $1200.

Jeff (porsche-o-phile) has his nice 944 on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...153137597&rd=1

I am not going to post the other 50 items I am watching but I am sure you get my point.

totally agree and I assume most 944 nuts here are looking, but this one would not have popped up under the 968 or 944 listings.

I've only posted a couple ebay things that I thought were exceptional and I guess I don't see anything wrong with that. I would not say a nice 944 for $1200 is exceptional.

Likewise, I don't see why this wouldn't be considered technical. Maybe this 968 is destined for greatness at the hands of the Maters.
