Interesting comparison of 2.7 block vs 2.5 turboS block.

Looks like Turbo S (M44/52) came prepared for stroker kit from factory..

Griddle numbers are matching.

i wonder if they meant to do that, or if that /52 block was from 89 and they were pulling stuff off the shelf (whatever fits), like how some 89 TS have cast rods etc..

This one had cast rods too. I think they just slapped together what was on the shelf at any given moment..

Bought another essential tool today.

Ceccato Beltair dual piston 400 volt 100L 3hp air compressor.

10L I used until now is fun for pumping tires and painting small things, but it just cant cope with air impact wrench or similar tools.

Any update to the saga? It's like waiting for the sequel to your favourite movie to come out.

I bought new turbine since K27#6 has too small turbine wheel & hot side for 3.0 and since I flirt with twin scroll idea for a long time, I thought BW K29 with T4 1.0 A/R divided turbine housing will be a good idea. Turns out this thing is way bigger than I thought, it is huge. I wonder if (with custom intake plenum) it can be shoehorned to the stock turbine spot somehow.. I know there is at least one rennlister that used K29 at one time.

The most important step I must make and I am very hesitant about it is alusil re bore and finish. I have the feeling I will end up with cross hatch pattern too. Unbelievable that I do not find one shop in this f****ng country that would do this job and guarantee for it.

That's a serious-looking hotside.
Surely there must be a shop in Germany/Austria who can do Alusil (BMW/Merc shops)
