Default have pin stripes? MichelleJD? anyone?

I'm looking for pictures of the factory pin stripes (very rare, I think?) (maybe they're not even factory??)

My car had them, and the PO removed them and the paint is chipping on the passenger side front fender where he started removing them and dug too deep.

Looking specifically for pictures that show where the stripe starts and ends, as well as the front of the front fenders. (it doesn't look like they went all the way around, but it's hard to tell from just the sun fade).

Pictures would be greatly appreciated!! If they're factory; can I just order the stripes through a dealer??

- pinstripes did not come from porsche but would be installed by dealerships- they are whatever they get in the area at the time so are not a specific brand. New cars today are the same way. You get cars in and the body shop usually installs pinstripes from 3m or whatever you get at the local supply store. We used to put them on all the time at the Pontiac dealership i worked at. IMO- ditch all stripes and paint the panel w/ the scratches on it.

My 924S has a silver pinstripe all around. Looks good on black. No recent pics, but I have some from March up at www.redmund.net/924 that I took the day I bought the car.

Mine are like Michelle's in coverage and are hand painted. The car has been washed and waxed so many times that the stripes have worn and it's possible to see the places where the brush was laid on and then pulled.

I had grey pin strips on my red 951. I took them off about 9 years ago.

I thought every Pontiac had pin stripes? Just like a double-DIN AC Delco head unit.

When I was 16 I tried to use an electric buffer to wax my parent's car. I always wondered if they ever noticed the missing pin stripes. lol!

My car is black with a red pinstripe that goes all the way around. Originally I was going to take it off, but everyone likes it so much that I left it on.
