The mount ends are completely different. But be my guest...

Not concerned about the mounts, just the shock length and if it can be compressed enough.

I can't wait to get mine on. I ordered a new rubber strip, just like the one tifo posted in the picture. Porsche had 2 currently in the USA, I got one of them.

Now you guys have me thinking about having the holes filled though. Hmmmm

I think they look better (cleaner) without the rubber, but that is a personal choice. BTW I looked at my old US and new Euro mounts, the way they both attach to the bumper is completely different. You might be able to compress the shocks enough to get the bumper to sit right, but you will have to refabricated the attachments too. I would just order a set of euro mounts, plenty on ebay, relatively cheap and won't cost a bunch to ship.

Paypal clears on Wednesday, ships on Thursday, arrives on Monday morning from the UK (apparently they tried to deliver yesterday/Sunday). Guy communicated every step of the way. Wish some Rennlisters shipped that fast . Now for the mounts....

Wow, its even the right colour. Guess if the paint is in good shape you don't have to worry about painting it for now.

Tifo, nice and appropriate spelling of color/colour. Paint is good enough. I just need to get the tar off and touch up one or two spots on top.

BTW, the guy shipped it in a some garbage bag material with minimal bubble wrap

Actually, I deal a lot with a couple of accounts in Australia so I find myself typing things that way not on purpose anymore. (colour, tyres, aluminium, etc, etc).

Default How do you address this gap?

Test fitted the bumper this evening. I will have to repaint it after all. I pussied out and bought the Euro brackets for $51 (shipped) US, bringing the total for the bumper, hardware, plus shipping to So Cal for $271 from the UK.

Here are a couple of pics in my garage a few minutes ago. Question: How do you folks with this bumper fill the small gaps between the body and the bumper? TIA. Michael

I had the same problem with mine. Ground down the mounting area on the fiberglass very carefully with a dremel enough to close the gap.

Whats with your rear valance?

Thanks Jon. I will grind that down a little. My valence is dirty as hell and I hadn't fastened it all the way back when I took the picture. Is there something I am missing? I didn't mount the turbo rear valence originally. Thanks. Michael

In all the euro pics I've seen the bumper has had that small gap. I have it on mine, but it's small. I think it's supposed to be there...
