Anyone have Ian rebuild a transaxle/ He quoted me $1200 plus shipping either way...to replace all 8 bearings, shim and reset the backlash with new fluid.
Anyone had experience with him?
I've ordered parts and have been quite happy, but nothing this big.

Yeah man, Ian is a pretty cool dude.
Helped me out when I needed an engine rebuild gave me a pretty good deal on all the parts i needed. He even sent the parts i forgot to add to the checkout; saved me a bunch of time.

Ian is great to deal with. Particularly on salvaged parts. I've bought everything from a hood to a rear suspension trailer arm and all have been satisfactory.
He's not the cheapest on new parts, but then again I didn't mind paying a small premium for the English humor.
P.S. I noticed you're in Canada. One drawback is he's not too keen on shipping from the Post Office, so you may have some duties to pay at your end thanks to the crooks at UPS.
