Nor Cal-5th Wentworth Springs-Ice House Road Run-September 8th
Well Nor-Cal folks it's that time again for the Wentworth Springs-Loon Lake-Ice House Road Run. Those of you who have made it before know the drill. It's a bag luncher into some of the finer Sierra roads available. The scenery is knockout, the roads are fast and deceiving, and we all know that all Porsches and a few mutts are welcome. I'm out of town until Thursday night and might not have internet so confirm by Friday morning so I know khow many maps to make. I'm too lazy at the moment so I'll just post up last years details as far as meeting places, mileage, etc. My only request is that everyone drive more careful than last year. Hope to see you all there again, if not you'll miss a good one.
If anyone has anything to add feel free but keep it civil OK?

Good, since roger isn't coming, that means you don't have to worry about getting his car working by the weekend.
I am going to come in the 951. It may not have new chips or a maf, and may be missing some body pieces, but I will be there in it.
Should I stick the harness bar in and bring the video camera?

Nah, I'll just keep the boost on the down-low till my maxtronic arrives.
Oh snap. That reminds me. I still have a set of regular chips from russell for running higher boost with the stock afm and 26/6. I should stick those suckers in till I get maxtronic.

Weather should be in the mid 70's up in the mountains and low 90's in the valley. We usually meet up just east of Sacramento at the SE corner of Hwy. 50 and Sunrise Blvd (Marriot Hotel parking lot) at 7:45 - 8:15. For those of you coming from the north we can also meet up in Georgetown at 9:00 to 9:30. Use all of the route info from earlier thread links as nothing has changed. A side trip back down Mormon Immigrant Road is planned for the return trip and adds about a 1/2 hour to the drive time...it's a fun road. We bring a lunch and eat at Loon Lake at the end of Ice House Road. A change in the prevailing breeze will push the smoke from the Lake Almanor fire away from us so the air should be good.
Here's maps and info on the run. Please post up if you are confirmed and I'll add you to the list.
