WooHoo !!! add another 944 to the stable
Well, the Guards Red 944 has been having issues, and I've been rolling in a buddies truck for the past month.
I wanted to take the time to not only repair the red 944 (small milkshake), but to do some detail and preventative stuff, so I needed another vehicle.
Plus I have a body & paint shop 20 feet from where it sits and where I will do the work at my office, so I can do the paint prep and push across the street (BMW vs. 944 = OUCH !!!).
So, if I have to get a Daily driver, why not another 944
So I have a (new to me) 83 Kalahari Beige 944 with a fresh spray on most of the car. It reminds me of my old 944 (85.0) with the exception of looking better and the new one has brown interior instead of black. Oh, and this one doesn't have a blown tranny
Like any new addition, There has to be a few things to take car of, especially since it's been sitting for soooo long.
after I get the guards red one in better shape, I will have the $$ to get a certain 951 I have my eye on. Then it's time to source an S2 cab, and a 968 to complete the stable.
lessons learned: when they break, don't get discouraged , it's a reason to get another one while it's being repaired.
Pics to follow once I can get my mits on a camera.
