Good to hear from you John. The car isnt mine yet per se, but my next summer it should be worked off . Rear brakes are going to remain the stock 4-pistons. I will probably play around with the bias valves to figure out what offers a good balance.
I moved the larger stock front 4 pisons to the rear, had the 968 bias valve and went pagid orange in the front and black in the rear. I can tell you this setup has to much rear bias. I'm going to try oranges all around once I get the new motor in.

Thanks for the comparison, Jon. I'm doing the brakes now so this is very timely. Oh, and as crazy as it sounds, I'm going bigger binders on an N/A!!

Tom had an S2 and a 951. He was trying to sell one of them, which I guess Jon's friend bought the 951.

I'm trying to understand the whole work for a car arrangement.

Jon's friend: "Tom can I buy your 951?"

Tom: "Yes."

Jon's friend will give it to Jon after he works it off by working on his (Jon's friend's) cars:

Jon's Friend: "Jon, I got an idea. You can work on my cars and I will give you $ XX.XX and hour and when you have earned $ X,XXX.XX I will give you the turbo. Ok?"

Jon: "Great idea. Then I will buy air fresheners, brakes and lots of tires/wheels for it!"

Got it now?

Just make sure I put them either where my log book is so i find the log book, or somewhere that i remember where i put em.

Dan, you forgot one thing.
In the deal was jon's slave labor to swap the struts on my S2 with the konis. you remember, the swap where we forgot about bump stops and dust shields.

you remember the swap where i sold a rennlister my old shocks/springs/struts for less than I would have gotten from paragon, and than had to pay more than i got for the old stuff for new dust shields and bump stops.

a small price to pay for three days at watkins!!

I understand now. Isn't it part of the deal that Jon has to work on each of our cars for a certain amount of hours before he gets his turbo?

<off topic>

John, the car is looking good. Those are my old mirrors on there, correct? Nice job.

Jon's friend bought Tom's 951.
That is correct, but not entirely correct. The car is still Tom's!
This is the correct text:
Jon's friend Tom bought Tom's 951.
So when Jon worked for Tom to swap the struts as part of the deal, Jon was not working for Tom when he swapped the struts. in other words, the time Jon spent on Tom's car swapping the struts does not count as time working on Tom's car towards the 951.
Got it? Good!

We expect that motor to be in and running at lime rock in two weeks!!!

If you have trouble with the deadline, maybe you can get Jon to help.

But if Jon is working for John on John's Turbo, he will not be working for Tom on Tom's Turbo, which means John's Turbo will stay John's turbo, and Tom's turbo will stay Tom's turbo. And John's turbo is not the same at Tom's turbo, which is the same a Tom's Turbo, which is the same as Jon's turbo.

Where is Dave when we need him? I'm gonna ask Rob where Dave is.

Is it lunch time yet? This thinking is making me hungry. Perhaps Pappa Johns or Subway?
