Still pretty loud... but it's good loud. Probably will go with a different muffler next year when I have time/money again. or at least keep a stock catback around for long trips.

I have an XR-1 with stock resonator on my S2 and recently tried a catless test pipe. With the test pipe, it has the same blatty ricemobile sound complete with the off throttle crackle, except my car doesn't sound like a deisel when idling, and I dont think mine is that loud.
With the cat it sounds SO MUCH BETTER! The whole sound is smoothed out, and there is zero blatty fart sound. When cruising, the drone is about the same, and under throttle, its quieter and more smooth sounding.
