I wired in a power driver's seat on my 83. Early cars do NOT come with wiring for power seats. Admittedly, I tapped off the radio circuit for power. There is no problem with it and it isn't a hackjob, but I wouldn't adjust the seat with the radio on. It's only fused for 8 amps whereas the seat circuit on late cars is fused for 30 amps, so I wouldn't trust it for a full power seat.

If you found manual seats or seats with only power height, I'd say go for it. The high-back seats will fit as they are in an early car, don't listen to V2.

youll need to use the 4 OLD bolts from ur 84 seat, the thread on the later years seats are alot thicker. atleast this was true on my 85.1 and 85.5
