Default M474 rebuild kit?

Hi all,
I'm curious if there is a strut rebuild kit for 86 turbos that came with the optional sport struts made by Koni (M474 package). Mine are blown and I was just wondering if I could do it myself before I ship them out to someone to get rebuilt.
Thanks

For factory koni's I would send them to True Choice and have them rebuilt. If you want to get the inserts from paragon then I would buy some used sachs struts to cut up, but I myself wouldn't want to hack up factory M474 struts.

Just sent them out to truechoice today. I should have said I wanted to rebuild to original spec and was wondering if there was a kit with seals, etc.. whatever truechoice does. I dont want to hack up M474 for inserts.

Any authorized Koni rebuilder can do it...obviously Koni is one of them as is Truechoice. There isn't any do it yourself kit. We generally have them rebuilt, revalved (stiffer) and converted to double adjustable so you have external adjustment for compression and rebound. At points in time we have sets that have already been converted:

Let me know how it goes when you get them back. I have a set that I will probably have rebuilt by them in the near future. Did they say how long turn around time was?

They said about 10 days not including shipping time. I will update this thread when I get them back.

Sounds good I am curious to how they come out. Are you having the backs done also?

Just the front. The backs were replaced some time ago. I have a ride height adjustment kit on my car and I hope that is not the reason my front struts are blown.

ZPmada,

I am also in the Princeton area and have the M474 option. I would be interested as well to see how the rebuild goes.
