It's pretty obvious, if they wanted to sell more.. they'd clarify exactly what you're buying and how/what lights up. Who's got a link with the sales person over there? Maybe sending us some pics (since we ARE the target customers)

I cannot confirm this, but I am pretty sure there is a guy in his underwear checking his email about once a month at Speedhut. Please tell me I am wrong. I will certainly apologize.

When I spoke to the guys at Speedhut, I was informed that they have 928 gauges and I have seen people use the 928 gauges in their 944 autos. I wanted gauges specific to my vehicle so I started this little project. I wish the guages were already out there then I could have saved the $135.00 I forked over for a salvaged instrument cluster... oh well, hopefully those that want them will order and those that don't...well don't have to order

Wait, so again this is just the faceplates on the guages, not the actual function part, right? Because $100 for a working instrument cluster would be a nice deal. Don't count me in; I can't even get my tach to work right now...

It is a total of 4 gauge plates. I spoke with Aarron last evening and he informed me that the best solution would probably be the EL Glo as the entire face plate glow and the needles are easily seen contrasted against the glowing dials. He said if you went with reverse glo, the ambient existing light may be needed to make the needle more visible. I always intended on using the El GLo(i.e. the entire gauge lights up) but that was a good question 944CS.

knfepart, I understand...LOL. You are correct, it is just for the plates, you must have functioning gauges prior to using the items offered.

testarossa_td, thanks for bringing that to my attention. I asked about those units (the ones offered on feebay) last evening (that is I spoke to Speedhut) and evidently, the difference is that only Speedhut offers customizeable gauges, i.e. color, text or your own logo, racing stripes...etc.

Yeah... and I am pretty sure they've had them available before. The ones off eBay and a few other places are also common, and all you need, since logo's and racing stripes don't belong on a Guage Face.

Has anyone checked with PaloAlto or North Hollywood to make sure you're not re-creating the wheel?

I've had the Speedhut gauges in my car for a few years now and they are fantastic. Go to 944s2.com and then go into the gallery to see photo of my custom setup.

Word of advice for $10 extra have them delete the stupid speedhut logo from the gauges.

Also, be prepared for a little bit of custom work as there are parts on the gauges that require at least a little black paper behind them to hide the old gauges. Hard to explain but not a big deal..

My dashboard looks brand new, and much better than the led solutions. Looks like a new car.

I have a 180mph speedo in mine by the way

You used the 928 reverse light gauges that they already have?? Looks great. If I could swing the money right now, I would do that with cobal blue and I guess white leds to illuminate the needles. Im thinking the blue should still show pretty good. And of course add the Jager gauge bezels
