Default Exhaust Hardware???

Hey guys,

Hope you don't mind me posting this. I figured you guys might know... I have a Pontiac Solstice with a ceramic coated header, and a stainless steel hi-flow catalytic converter. Every time I drive like a maniac, the exhaust manifold to catalytic converter bolts loosen up and create an exhuast leak the next time I take the car out for a spin. It used to blow gaskets all the time because of it. I went to solid aluminum gaskets, and they would just melt. So I went to a solid copper gasket and that seems to work, but the bolts still loosen up. I just used some blue thread-locker, but I don't think that'll do the trick.

Where can I get those bolts that have the needle holes going through the top that allow me to string wire through them? (to prevent them from spinning).

Thanks guys!

If you look around - the aircraft industry has high temperature Incanel bolts with holes drilled in them for safety wire. Youll probably find one that fits.

This place carries a good selection of high temp style fasteners.
