Default Idle Control valve arrow.

Just got my 86 951 running after replacing the venturi and vacuum hoses. Now she makes a whining noise whenever my foot is off of the throttle and goes away as soon as i touch it. It sounds like it is coming from right under the intake and according to the porsche diagram, it is the idle control valve. Which way is the arrom supposed to point and how are the hoses supposed to be on that? thanks guys

The arrow is supposed to point towards the intake manifold hose.

In other words, standing in front of the car facing the engine, the arrow should point LEFT.

thanks guys
