A price that reflects the fact he sniped an auction from a fellow rennlister for a part he didn't need.

His cost +$18 ?

I still don't see how its possible to "snipe" something from someone on ebay. you put in what something is worth to you, and someone else puts in what its worth to them, and whoever the part is worth more to, gets it. If someone outbids you by $.01, why didn't you put your maximum at $.01 more, or $1 more, or $10 more?

Take it to a local smokers lounge and get a guy on each intake runner, then see how long it takes them to smoke a bowl or two.

I actaully dont think I sniped the auction, Im rarely around when auctions end. Looking at the history, I placed my one bid on June 30th and the auction ended July 1st. Anyway its in the past and it now has a better home

Really.

My bad.

That intake is going to a better home. I was just talking to J.V. Hopefully it will arrive before next thrusday, then i can bring it to my first dyno and test both stock and mystery intake.

The guy who sold this on ebay originally sent me a picture, the inside has full radiused air horns on each runner, I'm excited and hope it flows better then stock.

I love how so many people think they can just glomm a larger plenum onto stock runners and then claim it will suddenly run better. There are so many velocity, pulse, and volume considerations it gives me a headache. Was this thing ever bench tested? Is the OE manifold so unbalanced that this manifold will solve the problem or create a new one? Does the flow imbalance make much of a difference on the 2.5L? I saw that manifold for sale originally on eBay and thought 'Wow, a homemade intake". Good Luck

Agreed.

But a gamble i'm willing to take.

I've read a lot of positive things on the LR Intake, but i've also read claims of poor flow & worse results.

I've been looking at the SFR intake & this seems like a similar design.

But still has the original runners.

For the $$$, it doesn't seem like a bad idea & i can always re-sell it if i don't get results.

if it does turn out to be junk, hopefully, you won't try to re-sell it for more than you paid for it.

though personally, if it were junk i'd just destroy it and save others the trouble.
