Talking Let me see your ****...shift that is. I need a change.

Hello fellows,
Im not really liking my **** and want to get something different.
I currently have the Momo thomahawk but i don't like the way it fits down on my shift boot. Its also very high, kinda like im shifting gears with the head of a cobra.

The zip tie you see serves two purposes. it looks tacky and it keeps exhaust fumes from entering my car ( think i have a leak)

I would like a **** with a "lip" of sorts that my boot would fit under it.

I'm open to suggestions, Momo is appreciated

A heads up on MOMO metal shift *****: they tend to rattle.

Keep in mind that the stock shift **** is made of rubber for a reason - to minimize vibration.

Billet 993 shifter we use to make a long time ago. Slides right onto the stock shifter assembly.

SWEET 'pit Doc

I cut down the stock lever, and along with the Schnell SSK, it feels pretty good.

I prefer stock too - need to save up and put a new boot on the one in the racecar. Maybe an insert too, they do look sharp.

Anyway, my contribution - if you're having problems with fumes coming in past the leather boot - the rubber boot underneath is probably torn or missing. Replace it, it's cheap, 944online or the like.

My car only has the rubber boot. Take a look at the picture to see what it looks like.

Someone either here or on Pelican took a 2001+ Boxster shift **** and mated it to the 944 linkage. It looked fantastic. Where's that pic?!
