Default New Wheels - Pics

Picked these up a couple weeks ago.
I drove from Vancouver to Seattle (3 hours each way) after work, because the deal was too good to pass up.

18x8 in the front
18x10 in the rear

BBS knock-offs with Pirelli P-Zero Nero (225/40/18, 265/35/18)

Now I just need a 1'' drop and an AIR splitter.

AWSOME. They would look even better with a drop. I always thought 17s where perfect, but these really dont look bad at all being 18s.

Yes those look nice, and they're HUGE! I must say it needs to be lowered a bit, or gain weight

Very nice! Mind if I ask what you paid?
You definatly need a 1-1.5" drop.

Needs some wider tires, unless you like curb rash. Some 285's would fill out the rims quite nicely.

I would expect to pay $2000 + for those wheels and tires in Canada.

The tires alone would cost $1200 CND.

$1000 US two years ago would've been almost $1600. Now $1000 US is $1050 Canadian.

With the Canadian dollar on par with the US dollar, everything is so cheap in the States.

The dollar has changed, but commodities have stayed the same price numerically. So, products that used to cost about the same in Canada and States are now much cheaper to buy in the US.

There is a MASSIVE amount of cars being imported into Canada from the US right now, because of the dollar. For example, a brand new base model Caymen is $70 000 in Canada. In the US a brand new Caymen is $50 000. So, a person could drive to the States, buy the car, import it, register it, and save roughly $10 000 after taxes and fees. The dollar is the same, but commodities are not.

Sorry, I went off on a tagent there. That's just my rant. I think it's so stupid that I have to buy everything from the US, unless I want to just throw away money.
