Anyone Know Michael Floren, Colorado Springs CO? Scammer alert!
Anyone here know Michael Floren of Colorado Springs? He advertised a set of fiberglass doors on Pelican Parts a while back. I contacted him about 6 weeks ago and made arrangements to purchase the parts. Sent Paypal of $500 4 weeks ago and was told the parts would ship immediately. Of course they didn't and he doesn't respond to emails or voicemails. Paypal dispute process is in the works, but if anyone was thinking about purchasing something from him, don't, he's a thief. If anyone knows him I wonder if you can smack him upside the head for me, and let him know that he's facing legal action for using the Internet to facilitate a fraudulent transaction?

Sorry to hear about this. He purchased a MAF from me several weeks ago. I dealt with him through Pelican also, but always had good communication with him. Hope this works out and you get your money back.

Just to close this issue, Seller finally reacted to countless notifications and shipped parts. I still wouldn't purchase anything else from him or recommend anyone else purchase anything from him, but for the time being he has cleared this issue up with me. Regardless of excuses (which he gave a few of), there is no reason to sit on a part that someone has paid for for almost two months.

I just stumbled across this post because a friend said that there was something negative about me on the internet. I take this very seriously.
First off Id like to set this record strait.
1. shipping fiberglass doors in a manner so that they do not break in shipping, and arrive in a condition that the buyer would want is very difficult. Its even more difficult for some one that has not shipped anything of that size or composition before and has zero resources to pack it correctly.
2. At the time, I had a heavy college schedule. I repacked the box it was going to ship in about 3 times and brought it to a shipping location several times to get their input. After fitting this into a 33 credit hour a week college schedule( which directly results in 66 to 99 hours a week allocated to college work), (yes at the time i was attending 3 colleges at the same time to expedite my degree) it was delayed a bit to ship the product..
At the same time I was working in the ROTC program to obtain a commission in the US ARMY.
3. The buyer did contact me a few times, and each time i told them when i would expect to ship the doors. but again guys. come-on. these are GT racing fiberglass doors.. they are FRAGILE, which means I would prefer to spend 6 months making sure that they would not break while in transit to the buyer. If that makes you mad, sorry, but id rather you receive the product in good order then to receive it in many small broken parts.
If you want to get a hold of me about this please do so...

For the sake of potential legal issues for Rennlist, I took down the personal information. Because this was a valid dispute, the rest of the post stays for future accountability. Folks - we can all learn from this. Know the shipping strategy before you offer something up for sale.

Easy way for you to pack these would've been to go to GT Racing, since they're in your home town and get the packing materials they use to ship the doors, then ship them.
As with the other guys, it's pretty odd you decided to address this 6 years later.

You should never sell something without fully knowing how to pack and ship it. Buyer should never have had to wait 2 months. Good PR there Mike. Welcome!
