Default Car smoking???

I have had this problem since I have had the car. I have replaced the air/oil serperator o rings already. I was wondering is it possible to block off that hose from the J-Boot and put a little filter on the end of the hose from the Air/Oil Serperator? I think this will stop it from smoking. My car only smokes when I go WOT, and thats it. Its really kind of annoying.

Smokes at WOT at redline/high rpm, or at low rpm as well?

It only smokes at high rpm when its at WOT. I can drive all day and have no oil smoke, but once I go WOT it spits out smoke.

Exclamation

My car 88 944S smoked while changing gears at redline. After a while motor spun #2 rod bearing and when we opened the engine the cylinder walls had scratches.
What is your oil consumption?

I don't really know to tell you the truth. I know that it uses a quart pretty quick if I'm on it all the time. Did you do a compression test when your cylinder walls were all scratched up or not? I am going to do that again and see what they are.

My car doesn't make any funny noises as far as I know. It sounds just like my dads 944. His motor was taken apart for a head rebuild about 5 years ago. They sound the same. I might have bad valve guides or something like that. I just wanted to know if I could block off that hose or if it would mess something up. I think it would cut down on the oil smoke.

Is it overfilled with oil? Take your airbox lid off and see if there is a pool of oil in there. I did that once, couldn't figure it out, was kind of embarassing once I discovered that I over filled it with oil.

I have looked and one of the most common causes is the Air/Oil Seperator. I was wondering if it would be possible to block off that tube to the intake or not. Sorry. I have read some very interesting info on this but it is either my valve seats are completely shot which is a possiblity or I have another problem. My car is running fine except for this smoking problem.
