Default X post - Just got back with Silver Rose turbo PICS

Just got back from Florida on Saturday with the new car. 1988 944 Turbo S with 78K on the odometer. It was a hot drive back as the AC clutch was going out. The car has the Link map system for controlling everything and needs tuning. It has a K27/8 on it, lindsey 3 inch exhaust, lindsey intake, powerhaus stage one head, a stage two intercooler, 65 lb injectors and a tial 38 mm wastegate.

I would be real interested in any tips on tuning the car with the wideband - also comments on that setup and what sort of hp it should yield. I was out with Brad (ilikemy944) yesterday and his stock turbo S with a lindsey MAF was spooling up a lot faster than me and pulling away.

I am selling some of the items off the car that I don't need - racing dynamics strut bar, brey krause harness bar, the wheels, a set of recaro pole position seats and some misc stuff. I'll post another thread later with more pics of those items.

Car does have some body issues....

Looks like the harness bar is model R-1020 and retails for $404. I would sell it for $300 shipped obo. The strut bar is part number 944.99.00.011 which according to their website is the same for the turbo and S2. It retails for $261.25 - I would sell this one for $175 shipped.

Harness bar is as new - strut bar has some grooves where it was fitted to the 944 hood braces.

Well - the fronts are running 245 and the rears 275 so they would at least be 7.5 and 9s - probably 8 and 10s. 17 inch diameter of course. The tires are all some sort of off brand - fronts have some hard wear on the inside edge from a corrected alignment issue. The rear passenger wheel has a soft bend in the lip in one spot - I am going to have that fixed right away. I am hoping to get around 1k for the wheels depending on how expensive the repair is.

Correction on the racing dynmaics strut bar. It is actually the one for the NA. The turbo has the solid mount on the driver's side. Probably they used this one on this car because of the intake.
