Default Bleeding with mityvac

Basing info off clarks garage.

For bleeding the clutch slave, using "Bleeding Method 3" it says you have to have someone depress the clutch pedal. Is this the same for bleeding the brakes, do I need to depress the brake pedal while bleeding with a mityvac.

Nope, just hook it to the bleeder valve and go. In fact I don't think that it would work if the brake pedal is depressed as fluid flows into the master cylinder only when the pedal is not depressed. I pump the pedal a few times after bleeding each end.
Cheers

When using the mightvac, be careful on how much fluid you draw. You will be able to empty the reservoir portion for the clutch very easily and get air into the system. Remember, the brake reservoir has the front portion sectioned off for the clutch fluid.

Yep the one resevoir is for both, but it is partitioned so that a leaking clutch system will not drain it completely leaving you without brakes

Actually are you suppose to depress the clutch pedal when ur bleeding the slave?
I had the slave dangling when I was doing my clutch job and decided to bleed it then and there. So I put a woodblock to keep the clutch pedal depressed and the pin on the slave ripped the rubber boot. I am going to rebuild the cylinder, but my question is that do i NEED to depress the clutch pedal? cus somehow i get the feeling that the boot will tear again.
