Default 944 porsche bbs wheels tire size

I recently bought a used set of 15x7 for the front and 15x8 rear bbs wheels for my early 85 944 porsche... It has 205 60r 15 on the front and 215 60r 15 on the rear. I'm just wondering what is the correct size for the tires for these wheels and how wide can i go for the tires?

dont you find 225 to be a bit narrow on 16X8s?

Not really. I find it to be narrow in general for the car, but it looks fine on the wheels. I'll find some pics.

The cars came with 205/225 on the 16x7/16x8 phones and fuchs from the factory.

I have 225's on my front rims that are 8" wide and they are so narrow they curve in, but I like the old school fatty look

I suppose I don't mind the narrow tires because the wheels only have an 11 offset, so they're filling out the fender well all the way, theres just at least 2 inches of clearance on the inner side.

I would go 225 all around, for balance in handling. The 944 already understeers and the bigger rubber out back wont help.

If you really want the staggered tires then go 225/50 front and 245/45 rear.
the smaller than stock diameter tire will help get the underpowered na moving.

I noticed quite a bit more acceleration when I switched from 225/60 to a 225/50.

Oh ok thanks. What brand of tires would you suggest? I'll just put 225's all around

Does a smaller tire really make faster acceleration?
